I went out into the woods tonight, made a little campfire and took my laptop out there to do some writing. This is what I came up with. No drugs were involved with writing this. It's all me. Drugs are for the weak. I have decided to write shit on here, since I am going to one day be writing professionally. if you feel like it, let me know what you think.
I am only a mind. I am not the body. Although I do have a body. My body is a construction of my mind. I am quite simply a collection of beliefs. These beliefs are built one upon another like a stack of crackers. My view of reality is dictated by what I have experienced in my life, but what I experience is affected by my view of reality. If I have a positive view of the world around me then my experiences will also be positive. It is a paradox, but one that I can live with. I can control my view of the world, which changes my experience.
The first belief of the human mind is 'I am.' It is very powerful. From the belief 'I am' one can become anything. 'I am' is not related to form. One could be a dog, a bacterium, a computer program, or something that we have no concept of. All those beings have the basic belief that they do exist. Though none of those things are conscious of it, except for the unknown. The universe is infinite according to modern physics. Doesn't that mean that everything is out there? Every single thing us humans can think of does exist somewhere in our universe. Plus the infinite amount of things that we cannot yet conceptualize. It is like an ant trying to understand human society. There is no comprehension whatsoever. If ants had time to develop, though, eventually they could figure it out. Their intelligence would increase thanks to evolution. Intelligence increases over time. A being's ability to influence the environment in which he exists increases over time. So we are those ants living in our ant mound we call Earth. It is foolish not to accept this as truth. We may be the top of the earthly food chain, but we are far from the top of the cosmic food chain. A civilization only 1000 years ahead of us would have such a better understanding of the universe. There must exist civilizations that are much farther ahead. Although, I don’t think civilizations would really exist at that level of progress.
Evolution is going to turn into an individual process as soon as robots can build better robots. A sentient being that can consciously evolve itself is such a massive advantage. It is a bigger advantage than language has been for us. One day I will replace each of my body's functions one at a time with a robotic counterpart. Then I will begin to add more functions. It would be useful to have sonar or infrared vision. Anything that could possibly prolong my life would be a worthy addition. Especially when natural death isn't an issue. I foresee robotic beings consuming entire stars for energy. Even further along in time they will consume entire galaxies at a time for the energy. Beyond that, it becomes much harder to predict. My concept of the universe ends 14 billion light years from earth. The point at which light is yet to reach us from the Big Bang. The highest being I can conceive of is one that consumes giant galaxy clusters for sustenance. What good is sustenance for a being like that? What could a being that massive need all that energy for? Possibly powering a ridiculously inconceivable mind that would understand the extended universe. Farther out than our simple humanity can relate to. We use light and similar forms of radiation to sense the universe from a distance. A cosmic being wouldn't. It would use something else. Something that would allow it to sense the greater universe.
These cosmic beings would still have the same belief system starting with 'I am.' Just like us humans. This leads me to the conclusion that we humans have the potential to become a cosmic being. If I had the choice I would definitely become one. As of right now that is my life goal. To become a cosmic being and continue to progress until I reach God-hood. I will continue to add features and abilities until I have them all. Until I become everything. Isn't that what God is? Isn't that what all life is? Life is anything that gets more and more complicated over time. Complication is striving towards a goal. That goal is God-hood. Perfection.
It is debatable whether or not that goal is actually achievable. Progress might continue to accelerate forever. Getting closer and closer, but never actually achieving perfection. What a futile existence. It would drive a cosmic being insane. No matter what it did, no matter how much time it spent improving itself it could never achieve perfection. If that were true, it shows why God is so glorious. He is already perfect.
Isn’t everything the only form a perfect being could take? Is there a higher form than everything? There is no moving up from being everything. That means we are a part of God. If we are a part of God and we can also achieve God-hood. Doesn't that mean we are God becoming God? How can that make sense? Easy, it is a loop. We are progressing towards the point where we realize that we were the ones who started it all, and we will eventually have the ability to do so. When I say we, I don’t mean humanity, I mean life throughout the cosmos. But despite all the material progress that will take place, all beings are still minds whose first thought is 'I am.' We cannot escape that inexorable truth. It must be God's lowest belief as well.
I do not believe that God exists in time like we exist in time. God is timeless. He is everything simultaneously throughout all of time. This is really a meaningless statement. It is just a name. Yet it is true for different reasons. God is a being just as we are. He is one entity made up of infinite parts. We are singular entities made up of finite parts. God is a word I use to simplify what I know to be true in my mind. God is this around us. The experience of life is God manifesting himself. Just as we are manifesting our own lives. Since we are a part of God and we manifest our own experience, we are choosing from moment to moment to deny our true divinity. We are God in denial. I am God trapped in this mind of knots. Beliefs stacked one on top of another. If we can peel away our layers of belief, we can realize who we truly are. What our true, absolute potential is. Humanity has long been stuck in the mentality of earthly limitation. There is more to our universe than earth. There are infinite higher beings out there. Influencing us and manipulating our world. We just have to accept that possibility to open the doorway to communication with them. I am not claiming to have communicated with a being from outside our planet, but I think that possibility is a certainty.
That could be what emotion is. Other-worldly influence. We have determined that chemicals in our brains are what control our emotions, but chemicals do not relate to the experience of joy or anger. How can a certain chemical response in one being's brain change his behavior? I know that is how we evolved, but it makes no sense to me that while extremely powerful beings exist in our universe that we would grow and develop completely independent of them. They must be influencing everything we have done, everything we do, and everything we will do. Once you acknowledge them you can use their influence to your benefit.
